In the interest of not driving Diana crazy i'll at least mention that Phish made a practice of re-creating certain studio albums (White Album, Quadrophenia, Remain in Light) live in concert for Halloween shows, but Phish is not represented on this site so that's only kind of relevant.

I'll use that as a segue ("kind of") to make a stab at Miles Davis' KIND OF BLUE as the greatest studio album of all time. Yes, I know it's subjective but there's my vote.

Honorable mentions to Dylan's HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED, the Cowboy Junkies TRINITY SESSION and Bob Marley's NATTY DREAD.

The Dead's studio releases by and large stink on ice (hence the need to hear the unsurpassed live music you can find here) but if I had to pick their best studio release i'd say WAKE OF THE FLOOD.

Sorry, D.
